We are at that point of the NFL season that reality has arrived. Reggie Miller Jersey . Each team has played at least 10 games and after this much time and this much football, each organization realizes they are either refining, retooling or rebuilding. 1. Refining - Youre in the hunt for the playoffs and from week to week just trying to improve a little bit to make a big difference. 2. Re-tooling - Youre a good team but not great. You still have problems and aspirations but to conquer the problem and reach the aspirations, a specific change still has to happen.3. Rebuilding - Youre not a playoff team and the talent level is the reason why. Just not good enough. AFC East - At 7-3, New England is going to win the division. Truth is, they should be 8-2 as Luke Kuechly interfered in the end zone. To me, Buffalo and the Jets are refining. Both depend on continued progressive improvement of their quarterbacks, EJ Manuel in Buffalo and Geno Smith in New York. Miami is rebuilding. At 5-5, they are tied with the Jets for second but must look at themselves inside and out before they will be a championship team. AFC North - The Bengals are on their way. At 7-4, they should win the division and being undefeated at home, all games have meaning for the rest of the season. At 4-6, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and even Baltimore are rebuilding. To become a wild card team, each of the three must win their six remaining games to get at least 10 wins. Very unlikely. AFC South - The Colts are going to win the division and nobody in the AFC South is going to catch them. Tennessee has four wins and no Jake Locker. Houston has two wins and no quarterback consistency. And with one win, Jacksonville just doesnt want to be relocated to Los Angles or London. All three are rebuilding for 2014. AFC West - This is a very interesting division as the 4-6 Chargers could be one team to end up 10-6 and in the playoffs. Kansas City and Denver are on their way, especially the 9-1 Broncos are close to being at Sports Authority Field (Mile High Stadium) through out the playoffs. There are two competitive obstacles and hurdles in the next two weeks (at New England and at Kansas City). Oakland is an unknown, rebuilding team but by the end of this year, their salary cap problems should be behind them and that is significant. NFC East - I would not be surprised at all if the Eagles won the division with the Giants a close second. Philadelphia has found a quarterback in Nick Foles and this week is their bye week. With five games to go, the Eagles control their football destiny. The Giants have very quietly won four in a row and if they can beat Dallas this week, they can catch up significantly in head-to-head division games. Dallas is running out of healthy players on defence. Of the 11 penciled in as starters during training camp, the Cowboys may have only four left depending on linebacker Sean Lee. Washington is 3-7 with San Francisco up next. If they win the next six games, that means a 9-7 record and no playoffs. All four teams in the NFC East are rebuilding but someone has to win the division! NFC North - The only team that is rebuilding in this division is the Vikings. At 2-8, they are looking at a quarterback in the draft and how to keep Adrian Peterson effective for a few more years. In Green Bay, the question is how fast can Aaron Rodgers recover from a broken Collerbone? Problem is, that if he does not make it back soon, the 5-5 Packers could be close to out of the playoffs. Detriot and Chicago are the unknowns. Both are just refining from week to week and when you compare schedules, both are relatively easy. With the unknown of Rodgers health, this division is an unknown, but I lean to the Lions to win it all. NFC South - Its a two-team race between the Saints and Panthers. The two key dates are the head-to-head matchups December 8 at New Orleans and December 22 at Carolina. The Panthers are only one game behind the Saints and have won two close games over the 49ers and Patriots. Both are playoff teams that may be playing their best right now. Atlanta will be back when they get all their starters back. Next year will be a bounce back season but this season is done at 2-8. Tampa Bay is improving and as crazy as it may sound to some, I would not fire head coach Greg Schiano. He has his quarterback in Mike Glennon and will have his top running back Doug Martin and top guard Carl Nicks back next year. And Darrelle Revis will have a second recovery year under his knee. Stay the course if youre the Bucs. NFC West - The only team that is rebuilding in this division is St. Louis and outside of quarterback not even that much. With Percy Harvin back and only one close loss in Indianapolis, Seattle is close to rapping up the division soon. The Seahawks at home for two playoff games is lethal. They still have three tough games left(at New 0rleans, the 49ers and an improving Arizona team), but the Seahawks are looking good in December. The 49ers are up and down and the Cardinals have to win on defence. All of the top three teams are refining and improving. What was a poor division when the Seahawks made the playoffs at 7-9 is now one of the strongest. Joe Young Jersey . Dr. James Andrews is to operate next week on the 24-year-old pitcher, who made the AL All-Star team last year. Moore will be the first Rays pitcher to undergo Tommy John surgery since Jason Isringhausen in June 2009. Domantas Sabonis Jersey .Johnny there, who knew he had that speed? teammate Tommy Wingels said.Scott and Matt Irwin were unlikely goal-scorers Tuesday night as the previously stingy San Jose Sharks finally sprung a leak or two, blowing a pair of three-goal leads before coming away with a 6-5 shootout victory over the Washington Capitals. http://www.authenticbasketballshoppacers.com/ . 5 Trade Deadline is drawing closer and teams will be deciding on whether to buy or sell while figuring out which players can make the biggest difference and hold the greatest value.BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Sidney Crosby still has Ryan Millers number after scoring a highlight-reel go-ahead goal in Pittsburghs 5-1 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday night. Thats fine with Penguins coach Dan Bylsma, so long as that trend doesnt continue once the Winter Games open next week. "I was cheering the goal this time," said Bylsma, who will be switching hats in Sochi, where he will be coaching Miller on the U.S. team. "It did dawn on me as Sid was going in and he scores that goal." Crosby, Canadas captain, had a goal and assist in a pre-Olympic tuneup in which the Eastern Conference-leading Penguins (40-15-2) set a franchise record by reaching 40 wins in 57 games. That eclipsed the previous mark of 40 wins in 65 games in 1995-96. Evgeni Malkin, James Neal, Brian Gibbons and minor-league call-up Harry Zolnierczyk also scored in a game the Penguins overcame a 1-0 deficit. Drew Stafford scored for the NHLs worst team, and Miller finished with 29 saves. Buffalo (15-33-8) dropped to 4-9-4 in its past 17 and winless in its last eight home games (0-5-3). Thats the Sabres worst home stretch since opening the season 0-8-1. For Crosby, he scored his first goal in six games and also ended a two-game point drought. That it happened against Buffalo and Miller shouldnt come as a surprise. Crosby has at least a point in all 14 trips to Buffalo (9 goals and 13 assists). And he has been particularly sharp at beating Miller, including the gold-medal winning overtime goal in Canadas 3-2 victory at the Vancouver Games four years ago. "He made some big saves tonight," Crosby said in defence of Miller. "Cant blame him. He held his team in it. And we scored some nice goals." The performance didnt sit well with Miller, but he doesnt think it will carry over to the Olympics. "Its game-by-game. Stuff happens out there and you reset," Miller said. Sabres coach Ted Nolan had his goalies back. "That had nothing to do with Ryan tonight," Nolan said. "It was the guys in front of him. Our team, we need everyone. We had a couple of guys no-show tonight." That was evident on Crosbys goal, which came on the power play 2:08 into the seconnd period, and put the Penguins up 2-1. Thaddeus Young Jersey. Immediately after Marc-Andre Fleury stopped Buffalos Brian Flynn in close, Crosby circled his own net and built up a head of steam by driving up the left wing. Accepting Matt Niskanens pass while crossing centre, Crosby didnt break stride in cutting between Flynn and Mike Weber. He then drove toward the net and snapped a shot just inside the top right corner. Neal joked that hes seen Crosby score goals like that so many times that he didnt even celebrate, but instead simply headed to the bench. Miller had no chance some 17 minutes later, when Malkin scored on the breakaway. Pouncing on Marcus Folignos turnover inside the Penguins blue line, Malkin streaked past flat-footed defender Jamie McBain. Driving in alone on Miller, he faked going right and went left to deposit the puck in the open side. Miller is one of the three U.S. goalies selected to play at Sochi, and the game against the Penguins was regarded his last chance to make a firsthand impression on Bylsma. Bylsma has yet to name his starter, and maintained that Millers performance on Wednesday would have no influence on his decision. Miller was coming off his worst outing of the season. He was benched after giving up five goals on 27 shots through two periods in a 7-1 loss at Colorado on Saturday. He allowed three goals on 28 shots through two periods before the floodgates opened in the third. Gibbons scored off a face off, and Neal on a transition break. "The first period we werent very sharp," Crosby said. "Yeah, we took a little bit of time to get going, but once we did, I felt like we did grab a lot of momentum there." NOTES: The Sabres played without D Tyler Myers, who hurt his right leg in a 3-2 loss to Edmonton on Monday. Coach Ted Nolan has not ruled out Myers from playing in their pre-Olympic break finale at Ottawa on Thursday. ... Zolnierczyk stepped into the lineup a day after being recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He replaced Taylor Pyatt (lower body), who was hurt in a 2-1 overtime win over Ottawa on Monday. ... The Penguins completed a three-game series sweep of the Sabres, and improved to 12-4 in their past 16 meetings.
